What Is The Difference Between B.S And B.A

A Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) are two different undergraduate degrees. A Bachelor of Science degree focuses on scientific and mathematical subjects, while a Bachelor of Arts degree focuses on liberal arts. The main difference between the two is the emphasis on scientific and mathematical coursework in a BS program, and the emphasis on language, philosophy, and communication coursework in a BA program. Both degrees typically require the completion of general education courses in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

A Bachelor of Science requires more specialized coursework than a Bachelor of Arts. Students pursuing a BS degree usually focus on one or two main areas of study such as biology, chemistry, or engineering. These students typically take more courses in their area of specialization than a student pursuing a BA would. Additionally, students in a BS program often take courses in mathematics and the sciences that are not required for a BA.
