Matthew Perry Dead at 54 After Apparent Drowning: Report.
The actor, who was best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, was found dead at a Los Angeles-area home on Saturday, TMZ reported, citing law enforcement sources. Law enforcement sources also confirmed Perry’s death to the Los Angeles Times.
The outlet reported that Perry was found in a jacuzzi at the home, and no drugs were found at the scene.
“We responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd for a death investigation on a male 4:10 pm this afternoon. He was in his 50s,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
TMZ reports there were “no drugs found at the scene” and that “no foul play” is suspected at the moment.
The actor reportedly arrived to his home sometime in the morning after a two-hour round of pickleball. Perry sent his assistant out on an errand, which took about two hours. He called 911 upon returning and finding Matthew unconscious.
